Directophobia

Tutor: Antra Svarcs

This segment is a part of my Illustration for Narrative elective during my masters. I’ve always been fascinated by illustrations, and how the composition of lines, colouring and placement could affect the complete narrative.

For this assignment, we were to turn our phobias into a marketing product. Having always dreaded being asked for directions, these were translated into a series of arrows traversing iconic landscapes of European cities (I also get very nervous when I travel in a place where I can barely speak their language). These are some mock up proposals for guidebook covers.
